What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and SEPA direct debit for EU customers. Bank transfer (wire) is available on Teams with annual billing of €1,000 or more.
Is there a free trial on paid plans?
Solo and Pro both include a fourteen day trial of every feature, no card required up front. Teams plans get a fully featured pilot for the first month. You can stay on the free tier indefinitely if it covers what you need.
Can I switch between monthly and annual?
Yes. Switch any time from your account settings. If you upgrade to annual, the remaining balance on your monthly plan is credited automatically. Switching from annual to monthly applies at the next renewal.
What happens when I cancel?
You keep all paid features through the end of your billing period. After that, your account drops to the free tier. Your documents stay live, but recent retention is shortened to fourteen days. You can re-upgrade or fully delete your account at any moment.
Do you offer refunds?
If you upgrade and decide within fourteen days that Embersent is not for you, contact support and we'll refund the full amount, no questions asked. After fourteen days we issue prorated refunds for annual plans on a case by case basis.
Do prices include VAT?
Prices shown are exclusive of VAT. VAT is added at checkout based on your country and a valid VAT number reverses the charge for B2B customers inside the EU. Customers outside the EU pay no VAT.
Can I get an invoice with my company details?
Yes. Every payment generates a PDF invoice you can download from your billing page. Add your company name, address, and VAT number once and they appear on every invoice automatically.
Do you offer discounts for non profits, students, or open source projects?
Non profits and registered charities get fifty percent off Pro. Verified students and open source maintainers get Pro for free. Get in touch with proof of status and we'll set it up within one business day.
Where is my data stored?
All documents and analytics live on EU based infrastructure (Frankfurt and Amsterdam). Backups are encrypted at rest with AES 256. Data never leaves the EU and is not shared with any third party.
Do I have to give my reader's email?
Only if you want per recipient tracking. You can also share a single open link that tracks aggregate engagement without identifying individual readers.
What if I send more documents than my plan allows?
Embersent never charges overage fees. If you exceed your tracked document limit, you'll see a soft prompt to archive older docs or upgrade. New uploads pause until you do one or the other. No surprise charges, ever.
How do I delete my account and all data?
Settings → Account → Delete. Documents and analytics are removed from production within twenty four hours and purged from backups within thirty days. We log every deletion for audit, then delete the log too.
